Natasha Rothwell is developing a TV adaptation of “Who TF Did I Marry?”, the viral series that was posted to TikTok earlier this year by Tareasa “Reesa Teesa” Johnson. Rothwell will executive produce the project and also star as Johnson.

In the TikToks, which comprise 50 separate videos that together run for more than eight hours, Johnson details her relationship with her ex-husband, whom she describes as a pathological liar. The series has amassed more than 450 million social media impressions and earned Johnson more than 3 million followers in a two-week period.
Among the details Johnson shared were that her ex-husband told her he played football at San Diego State University despite never attending the school, that he asked for money to pay for a funeral for his stepdaughter, whom she later learned was still alive, and that he had a Social Security number that did not match the one on their marriage certificate. Johnson also alleges he cheated on her. Though she called him “Legion” in her videos, fans on TikTok later discovered his real name was Jerome McCoy. McCoy has since gone public to deny Johnson’s claims.
After a competitive bidding war, Rothwell acquired the rights to “Who TF Did I Marry?” through her Big Hattie Productions banner, where Mary Sayama McHenry was recently hired as president of development. McHenry joins Big Hattie after previously holding positions at CBS TV Studios and most recently Get Lifted Film Company.
