'Who's The Boss?' Sequel, 'Bosch's J. Edgar Spinoff' Not Moving Forward at Amazon
Amazon MGM Studios is pulling out of Untitled J. Edgar, one of the Bosch spinoffs that was in development at the studio. Meanwhile, Amazon Freevee is pulling out of the Who's the Boss? sequel starring Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano, which was in development at the streamer.
The Untitled J. Edgar project was one of two Bosch spinoffs announced in February 2023 as in development at Amazon MGM. The other, which focuses on Detective Renée Ballard, was picked up for a series starring Maggie Q earlier this year.
Larry Andries (Blue Bloods) wrote the script for the J. Edgar spinoff, which he produced with Michael Connelly, author of the Harry Bosch book series. Andries was charged in March with six counts of sexual abuse.
