Universal Pictures has released a brand new Wicked movie video for the highly anticipated film adaptation of the iconic Broadway musical of the same name. The remake will be split into two parts, with Wicked: Part One scheduled for release on November 22, 2024, while Wicked: Part Two will hit theaters on November 26, 2025.

The video gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at how the creative team manages to bring the magical world of Elphaba and Glinda to life. It highlights the production crew’s extensive world-building as they construct multiple detailed and immersive large-scale sets to better showcase what it’s like to be in the World of Oz.
Based on Gregory Maguire's best-selling novel and Tony-winning musical, the Wicked films are directed by Jon M. Chu from a screenplay by musical book author Winnie Holzman. The ensemble cast includes Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Ariana Grande as Glinda, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero Tigelaar, Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard of Oz, Bowen Yang as Pfannee, Keala Settle as Miss Coddle, Marissa Bode as Nessarose Thropp, Bronwyn James as ShenShen, Ethan Slater as Boq, and more. Three-time Oscar-winning composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz also serves on the cast. Both films are produced by Marc Platt through his Universal-based Marc Platt Productions.
