Although she remained in the country after he won the election, fans have wondered whether Goldberg plans to leave the US if he is elected for a second term in 2024. In May 2024, Whoopi Goldberg stated on The View that she would not leave the US if Trump is elected, according to The Independent. In response to a meme Trump posted on Truth Social, she said the following:
“Look, I’m not going anywhere. Okay? And it’s not for the reason, you little snowflake, it’s not for the reason you think.”
Goldberg wasn't always so adamant about staying in America, though. Trump's meme references a comment she made in January 2016, in which she said it might be time for her to move if he were elected president (via ABC).
