VVS Films has finally shared the official trailer for Woman of the Hour , the crime thriller from actor-director Anna Kendrick. The film had its world premiere at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival and is expected to be released in the US by Netflix.

"In the 1970s, Rodney Alcala went on a killing spree, luring women by posing as a photographer looking for models," the synopsis reads. "Despite already being a registered sex offender and recently released from prison, he infamously appeared on The Dating Game, a show that introduced a set of three new bachelors each week, hiding from view as a woman asked them fun questions before choosing a winner to go on an all-expenses-paid trip with."

In the video, Kendrick plays Cheryl Bradshaw, a contestant on an '80s dating show where she unknowingly chooses a serial killer to go on a date with. Kendrick also stars Tony Hale, Daniel Zovatto, Nicolette Robinson, Kathryn Gallagher and Kelley Jakle. This marks the Pitch Perfect star's directorial debut, with Ian MacAllister McDonald penning the script.
