Marcos congratulated Yulo on the country's first gold medal at the Paris Olympics. Watching Yulo's historic Olympic moment, she admitted she got goosebumps when the country's national anthem was played during the awards ceremony.
Yulo took the gold medal in the men's floor exercise final at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. It is only the second Olympic gold for the Philippines, following Filipino weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz's victory in the women's 55kg event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
