Fans have been hoping for an X-Men MCU movie for years, and Kevin Feige knows he has plenty of choice when it comes to the actors who will star in the live-action film.

Speaking to io9, the Marvel Studios head was asked how the company would determine who would primarily appear in a potential upcoming film. Feige said that he knows there’s a lot to choose from, and noted that fans would likely see some familiar and some lesser-known faces.
"Well, it's that phrase we use a lot at Marvel, which is, 'It's an embarrassment of riches,'" Feige said. "And there are a lot of great X-Men characters in the Deadpool and Wolverine movie. There are a lot of great X-Men characters in all the Fox versions of the X-Men movies. And there are a lot of great X-Men characters that have never been on the big screen. So I think, as we always try to do, as we did when we did the deal with Sony for Spider-Man, you'll probably see a mix of characters that you've seen before and characters that you've never seen before."
Feige also touched on the Disney+ animated series X-Men '97, which has been a huge success. It's been exciting for Marvel Studios to see how much people care about the world of X-Men.
