Users of X, Elon Musk's social network formerly known as Twitter, reported multiple issues accessing the website and app on Friday evening.

Error reports for X began increasing around 9:30 p.m. PT, with 66% of users reporting issues with the app and 29% reporting issues with the site, according to monitoring service Downdetector. Problem reports rose to more than 7,300 by 10 p.m. PT.
According to several users posting on Downdetector, the dates on all of the X messages in their feeds were showing as "December 31, 1969." One commenter said he was able to access X "but none of the messages were displayed, while the home page only showed the welcome message."
