Opening deliberations on the proposed 6.352 trillion peso budget for 2025 on Monday, Co said “a well-crafted budget is essential to address our country’s pressing challenges, from economic recovery to social equity and food security.”
“The proposed national budget is more than just a financial document; it reflects our priorities, commitments and vision for the future. It outlines the government’s plan to stimulate economic growth, improve social services, enhance infrastructure and ensure sustainable development,” Co said.
The budget chief said the Development Budget Coordinating Committee (DBCC) plays a crucial role in preparing the national budget that is “realistic”.
