Captain America: Brave New World star Anthony Mackie took to Instagram to share the first behind-the-scenes photos from the set of Twisted Metal Season 2, confirming that production has finally begun on the next installment of Peacock's hit action-comedy. This comes after the show debuted its 10-episode first season over a year ago, where it amassed 400 million minutes watched, making it Peacock's most-watched comedy premiere.

Based on the classic PlayStation video game series, Twisted Metal is written and executive produced by Michael Jonathan Smith, who also serves as showrunner. The comedy stars Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church, Will Arnett, and Joe Seanoa. Neve Campbell, Richard Cabral, Mike Mitchell, Tahj Vaughans, Lou Beatty Jr. Season 2 will also introduce Anthony Carrigan, Richard de Klerk, Patty Guggenheim, and Tiana Okoye, with Carrigan set to reprise her role as Calypso, known as one of the primary antagonists of the original video game series.
The series is executive produced by Mackie, Arnett, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Marc Forman, Jason Spire, Peter Principato, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan and Hermen Hulst, with Kitao Sakurai directing multiple episodes. It hails from Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions and Universal Television.
